Pour out or drink about a quarter cup of water, and with a funnel, add optionally in a dash of salt, dash of potassium chloride (sold as salt substitute), and a pinch of magnesium sulfate (epsom salt). That's your minerals and electrolytes if you want them. Go light on these or it'll taste weird, a little bit you don't notice.
If just want lemonade, skip all that, and just add 4 tablespoons of sugar (I know, that's 200 calories of sugar) or an equivalent sugar substitute. We do the dry ingredients first for obvious reasons.
Then comes 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, or half lemon juice and half lime juice. This adds about 16 calories.
All you need to do now it shake the bottle like a British nanny till everything is dissolved.
One of the most eye opening things about this is how much damned sugar is in sweetened drinks, but it's also a nice way to avoid buying Gatorade or Pedialyte.
