So I've just read Spencer's tweets about this from Caspar's post. To be honest his arguments sound compelling.

Not really. The idea that the woke are going to become Nietzschean overmen is laughable. And he calls Putin's regime a regime based on resentment, but how is that any different from the West? Wokeness is all about resentment. I'm usually the most staunch defender of Spencer's takes, but this one is just too contrarian.
