I'm having a debate on reddit regarding masking and covid restrictions, in particular for children. I'm arguing no, its despicable and un needed and harms the child. Then I got this comment, keep in mind the sub I'm on is supposed for civil debate,:

"I can't tell anymore if the Trump Supporters are just trolls or morons. My wife works in the ER and has watched multiple children die of covid. But more importantly, which is difficult for selfish individuals to understand, is that they can spread it to others. Multiple parents and teachers have died from children spreading it to them. I understand that these freaks don't care about other people, but are they so dense that simple information does not impenetrable the rocks in their heads?

So my question is, are you a troll or just a moron?"

Comments really just show to me how disgusting and vile these fucking pieces of shit really are, where they don't even try to challenge the point I'm making and use emotional manipulation in order to win the argument or silence the opposition.

What is your response/rebuttal to this actual piece of shit's comment?

I had a debate with one capitalist guy on Reddit, he said "You teach your beta kids about 72 genders, I'll teach my sigmas how to make money", and then I replied "I always find amusing how sigmas are always oppressed by betas, one post you berate them, other post you cry about how they ruin the world", and then he started flexing on me, saying he has 70% net returns and made $1.2M in three months, to which I replied "idc lol, you're gonna either hoard money or blow it on useless shit. Investments = parasitism, get a real job!".

Total OWN!!!! I didn't even had to post thread about it cuz I made it all by myself. Yup, you heard me. All by myself. Total Aryan Victory.

Clear moderation rules, like Saidit's "pyramid of debate", make this harder to pull off.

They want a rise out of you, so to show you failing to meet a standard they will never be held to by moderators or the majority of users (aka their own botnets). No bad tactics (e.g., accusing you of doing what they do in their very comment), only bad targets (each other).

Also the other comment is correct, this belongs on /s/MeanwhileOnReddit/

Tbh, I do click on reddit gaming links sometimes, as those comment threads pretty much focus exclusively on the game. But the whole site is too infected and corrupt to actually use.
