      I think political dissidents should only keep enough cash in banks to pay monthly expenses. Everything else should be kept in: Land, guns, ammo, and frozen meat.

      Go with a local bank if you can. It's getting increasingly harder to do that, though. Not always feasible or desirable - but if your checking account isn't with some judeo-globohomo international monstrosity then you are at the lowest risk for getting it frozen
