English Translation:

Chronicle n ° 14: Doing your duty

The spirit of solidarity has been replaced by boundless competition, and the sense of duty has been sidelined in favor of an attitude aimed only at publicity, not at the intensity of effort. Do not participate in this game and only think about one thing every moment; do your duty - not out of fear of the authorities (real or ideal) that dominate you, but out of conviction. Because what is the point of exercising an activity, if it is either to escape it as much as possible, or to sabotage it by your bad faith or your lack of motivation? If you do something, do it entirely, and don't think about the future outcome of your action, just that the action is done well so that you can be proud of your act - a pride not based on the importance or difficulty of what you just accomplished, but rather how you become one with your work. It is not by chance that the monastic rules (all religions combined) even oblige people ready to sacrifice their entire life in meditation and in the search for the divinity to force themselves every day to a repetitive body work, interpreted as a form of meditation and thrust towards the divine having the same value as prayer.
