Yeah, it's very unfortunate. This is why young people need mentors. They don't have the knowledge, experiences, points of reference to understand the world in it's proper context.

It's weird. I can see the appeal for young men, in fact I think having mandatory military or civil service should be a thing in a properly functioning society. It builds trust and camaraderie, cultivates skills, minds and bodies. Ultimately though constantly going to war makes the world a worse place, both in lives lost and the broken window economics of US military spending.

Given the US economy is heading into freefall and Biden is about to offciially add 11 million plus low skilled workers to the labor market, which will further depress wages and increase unemployment, I doubt they will have any shortage of volunteers.

The economic situation for poor working whites is about to go from terrible to intolerable, with the usual assist from our politicians and a hostile elite. These people have zero voice in either party, and both actively work against their interests.

Let's be realistic as well that 11 million number comes from 2012 census data. It's got to be closer to 20 or 30 million these days.

Those illegal immigrants are already part of the labour market.

This will allow them to take better paying jobs previously unavailable to them because of their illegal status, instead of day laboring or picking produce. So yes this will flood the market with new workers.

It will also make them available for unemployment bennies and other social programs, which we all pay for. Finally it encourages a new flood of illegals to replace them in the jobs many of them moved on from.

Im sure well see new migrant caravans being organized.
