tldr?

I myself am guilty, but still, here's the rules: 4) Rule 4: Link Posting, low effort posts, thread abandonment will be given a warning and then deleted. When posting links to media you must be familiar and provide some type of summary. Do not ask for people's 'thoughts' on something you yourself have not read, watched, listened too. Do your best to specify what you are asking DAR users.

Oh, I did not know about that. Did read the article tho, changed the title to reflect some of content. It was Unz griping about how Google might be set to blank-out conservative opinion when Nov. approaches. Gives examples from his own work and other's. Not asking DAR users for anything, just trying to share.

No problem. The old DAR didn't use to allow links (reddit verbode it) so people would generally summarize the highlights and it turned out well, that's just my observation. Rule 4 makes sense though.

Can you elaborate on this? My modest experience on reddit is that links are the norm, text entries are less so. Most other communities do not require summaries or submission texts (r/conspiracy does).

It was Reddit punishing us iirc. They didn't want verboten images showing up on the main screen.
