We shouldn't honor traitors who fought to preserve an evil institution and did more long term damage for our people than any amount of foreign influence.

"You have to understand that the raggedy Confederate soldier who owned no slaves and probably couldn't even read the Constitution, let alone understand it, when he was captured by Union soldiers and asked, 'What are you fighting for?' replied, 'I'm fighting because you're down here.'" Shelby Foote

Both the North and the South fought because they had to fight; they gave their lives doing so. That is honorable, we should honor them. It's good to look at the Big Picture, morally. That's how we live and learn. It's also necessary to see the Big Picture, in recognizing people as they are. The modern liberal has the mindset that he is the one weighing everything in the balance, no, he himself is weighed in the balance as much as any other. Modern liberals are seemingly too narcissistic to understand that. No one needs their disapproval of others, anyone can do that. Things would be better if they managed more self-reflection.

Not even an attempt to argue my points, just name calling and deflection from a dude who is likely doped up on meds.

Every one of your takes is brain dead conservative nonsense.

The South was fighting for its independence, to which it was legally entitled to. It was ''these United States '' not ''the united states''. It was perfectly legal for the South to secede and they voted to. The South accounted for 80% of US exports via Cotton and other agricultural products. That's why the North invaded it. They couldn't let that type of revenue go away, nor did they want to give the European powers a foothold on the American continent.

The war was not about slavery, Lincoln himself wrote as much. The south was settled by Celtic Scotts-Irish and Norman descended English Cavaliers. They had a long racial enemity with the Germanic, Anglo-Saxon North. They merley wanted independence and the North invaded and destroyed their country. Unleashed regiments of black rapists on the population and Sherman razed most of Georgia.

The union was dominated by fanatic protestants, they were proto-SJWs. After Union victory, Lincoln illegally forced through the 14th ammendment with no input from the South. That's why anyone born on the US is now automatically a citizen.

However by 1900 there was a sense of guilt in relation to the civil war. Most of the country acknowledged that it had been wrong and erected monuments of confederate Generals to honor the bravery of the South. The South was outnumbered 3 to 1 in manpower, magnitudes lower in industrial production and was under a union blockaded during the war. Yet, they came to the cusp of victory at Gettysburg.

So no, they were not traitors to their country. If they had followed Lincoln's government in DC, that would've been treachery. They were loyal to their country, community and faith.

And this US government you so love, well America is the Gay Empire. Its the empire of sodomy, usury and abortion. Its the Empire that creates gay, blacked culture and exports it to the world. Its the Empire that helped the Stalin takeover half of Europe and imposed liberal-multiculturalism on Western Europe after 1945.

Its the country that forced South Africa and Rhodesia to end Apartheid and face genocide. This is the country that's pushing white genocide, globalism, homosexuality and corporate cancer on the whole world.

America is the evil Empire and it was made to be such. Its founders were plutocratic freemasons who created a system to serve the oligarchy and immediately displaced the founding stock with Irish and German immigrants, for more labor. Its merely expanded its pool of new recruits to the rest of the planet. Read an economic history of the Constitution to learn how corrupt it is.

America delenda est!

Well said. Anyone who actually reads the history knows this. The immoral won and the immoral are now praised like Hamilton.

I don't give a shit about slavery, it was the norm worldwide when the ACW happened and happened for a long time after America and European powers abolished it. No one was probably more sorry about the end of slavery in white colonies than the Africans who sold their own people on. No one should apologise for it.

I do think it was a good thing in the long run that the Confederacy lost because if they had won, they would've imported more Africans, who would've eventually been freed and the South today would probably look like Africa.

It's just a shame that they never went through with their ideas about repatriating the blacks. The black population has been a huge thorn in America's rear ever since.

It is not that uncommon for a nation state to honor some traitors because they fought honorably in battle or had strong principles. It can be also used as a form of reconciliation between two formerly hostile parties to help expedite friendly relations and reunification of peoples. Most of the statues came a long time after the civil war primarily to counter the North's atrocity propaganda on slavery, the civil war and to remember confederate generals and southern heritage.

Even if slavery was bad, it is not good to rub salt in the losers wounds. They should stay up mainly to oppose anti-whites.

As someone else said along time ago, in a vaccuum, tearing down confederate statues or renaming schools and bases would be fine. The problem here is who and why. This is being done for reasons we dont agree with, by people who hate and want to destroy white people.

an evil institution

There's no such thing as "evil". There's only competing or overlapping interests. Each person and group should always act in its own interests. If it's in our people's interests to enslave certain people, then we should do it.
