Yeah, he seems to sorta just roll with the punches, too, rather than get all bitchy and defensive. I think that is one of the hallmarks of good character. It is the people who need you to believe in them that have an agenda.

My only experience with moderating was operating a small aquisition oriented forum for green, but it was very private and there were no trolls or scammers, no BTC or phishing, no escrow and no DDoS. Vendors posted menus, users used PGP to send PMs, and used either eGold, Liberty Reserve or just CiM, Cash in Mail. My biggest challenge as admin was to remember to pay the tiny hosting bill every six months. The mods of DNM subs and admins of DNMs have to actually work hard. Screw that, I want to spend my downtime not being accountable to anyone, least of all ingrates demanding that I tell them how to buy drugs.

I loved being an admin because everything went right for years. I became good friends with two users in real life, we still vacation together. The forum is still there, I just now checked, and I bet my login still works, but we lost a lot of users over the years to legalization, and I passed the mantle to another user. Actually, I bet some people here would even remember the Canadian pot vendor we evolved from, if I said it, but opsec and all. I probably already talk too much as it is, but meh, if LE raided my house and brought dogs through, they would sure be disappointed. Still though, loose lips should only ramble so much. But there isn't a lot here on this sub yet, and making friendly conversation might help seed something cool, at least while we wait to learn the disposition of Dread, GG and everything else. I just keep checking here hoping to see "Everything is back to normal now!"

But I think we all know that that isn't going to happen.
