India and China both have a surplus of males, but only one country has an out-of-control rape epidemic.

China's got the same men:women ratio problem, but don't have a rape epidemic or rape culture.

It's just that Indian culture, ideology and caste system have women reduced to a lower status. The concept of rape is glorified.

There was just an article on here about China's kidnapping problem. Apparently women get abducted because rural areas have no women.
