This idea romanticised idea you have of people being starved and traumatised just isn't the case. People in Gaza were mostly living what you would consider normal although maybe poor/working class lives. But they still mostly supported Hamas and their charter even so.

I'm not seeing the contradiction. OP said "half starved", and the uneducated part supports the one instance of normal life you have linked to, these people are doing fast food jobs. Like dude, I come from a second world country, and so while it wasn't 3rd world, shit still sucked ass. And yeah, nice cafes and fast food restaurants existed. If you look up the Gaza poverty rate....yeah, it's sky high (80%+) and was even before the October attacks. A nice mall and a nice hotel here and there doesn't erase the rest of reality. The trauma bit is harder to prove because it's not something you can exactly see. But it's also not unbelievable.
