Their reasoning is sound: there will ALWAYS be a market for these drugs/poisons. Someone will reap huge profits. Why not us?

Like the scene in the movie Alien, Ripley asks the artificial person if he actually admired the creature. His response was, “I admire its purity.” I admire the CIA’s purity.

They may think they are doing what's best but I wouldn't describe them as "pure."

Their dedication to destruction is pure. Hence, while I don’t agree with it, I can admire its purity of purpose.

If the US government starts a sentence with "the war on", then it's nearly always a manufacturered situation. No surprise when they get called out on their involvement in keeping it going by pushing drugs into the country to begin with.

The welfare state allowed weak and stupid people to survive. Stupid people use poisons like tranq and Fen. Think how stupid it is to inject oneself with Trang.

Accepting reality, that a percentage of the stupid will alway use drugs like these, powerful people decided to get in on it. Cocaine, meth, Fen, Tranq…somebody will supply the market.
