Why does it matter? 1,000,000 dollars is one million dollars. You said yourself they don't have to actually win the debate? You telling me you can't find some crazy homeless person willing to do that for 1,000,000 ?

The only logical conclusion to make is the initial offer is bullshit.

This is a common grifting tactic. Make a claim, claim that you are open for debate and offer some deal or reward for anyone who will do so. Actively ignore anyone who does offer, then claim that you received no offers and show the lack of reward claimed as "proof".
