I agree that electronic voting machines should be scrapped, for many reasons. But think about this article for a second:

"a Swiss bank with close ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), reports say. Attorney Lin Wood tweeted on Tuesday: “PATRIOT ALERT: Information ..."

Why is this in a small town newspaper, instead of national news?

Because any serious Swiss bank would have close ties to the CCP. Money laundering through Swiss banks is as old as Swiss banks. The CCP certainly uses them.

Consider the source: Patriot Alert (fucking dog whistle central, they should call themselves)

Consider the medium: Twitter (Oh, OK then, totally legit)

If you want to understand this article replace "close ties" with "indirectly owned by".

Because we can simply lie about what we read?

Google: China investment in Swiss banks

A: Chinese ownership of Swiss banks = nil

Chinese money laundering = billions

Interesting.. but a reason to ignore the data wasn't presented.

Several reasons are given. Instead of data, there is a claim, which may or may not be true. I do not advocate ignoring the claim. Add the claim to the mainy bits of circumstantial evidence that the Chinese government is covertly controlling and recording portions of electronic media in the US. The more evidence the better. Other countries are also doing this. The Chinese are very good at it.
