I'm sure a lot of us are interested in improving our status for different reasons, in my case, I want to become influential to the point that I might be able to make a difference with all of the corruption going on in the government. While a lot of people seem to value people's efforts to some extend, I think at the end of the day only you can give value to your own effort, despite the fact that a lot of people don't take it seriously, I think it is the most important ethical value when it comes to self responsibility on a daily basis from an existential point of view.
I think that there is a lot of social pressure to live up to a certain ideal or simply work your butt off for the sake of it, but I think a lot of the people that enforce this are acting in bad faith, ultimately, you can only rely on yourself to appreciate your own effort.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
