Everything about how people will react when presented with "this" or "that" piece of "information". Quotes around information because of course news can be made up, as it usually is.

I see. Yes, I think you are correct to a degree. I know some people can still surprise them.

Oh yes. I don't mean they know precisely what each invididual will do. You obviously don't know about psychohistory or the Foundation series. You should read that sometime, it's very impressive science fiction. No, I meant they know how people AS AN AGGREGATE will respond, not individually. The individual doesn't matter when you are dealing about masses of millions of people. If 85% react a certain way to a piece of news, then the 15% don't really matter. From the standpoint of politics.

I understand your comments better now.

I've looked into psychohistory, but I admit that it was a cursory glance in the subject. I have actually started the Foundation series, but I had to put it down to read legal nomenclature as I'm finding it to be more pragmatic for me at this stage in life.

Politics aren't people, it's not reality. It's a layer of non-reality meant to confuse and obfuscate our actual governing system. I know that through the control of politics, they have good control over people, but I focus on the long game.
