Jews are highly pressured to conform with in their subculture. It's a surprisingly insular.

It's difficult to actually understand the extent of this pressure unless you personally know someone who is Jewish.

I won't elaborate on the internal 'sticks and carrots' that are sometimes discussed internally.
Most quietly oppose, but won't risk it.
