There are fewer things than ever that unite is as a country, let alone as a people.

I'm all for immigration, but the government has edicts that say you don't even have to speak English any longer for govt services.

At a basic level, the ties that bind us together are being or have been removed.

A common language should be the minimum, let alone get into the ideas which founded the country. Ideals from the Judeo-Christian value system; a belief in a higher creator that endowed us with inalienable rights and govt is instituted by men to help protect these rights, that people have to be responsible on a moral level.

You'll not defeat The ideas of socialism, communism, progressivism etc with CATO whitepapers, no matter how correct in their analysis they are. It's the same reason Trump can complain about socialism, while decriminalizing being a criminal and implementing programs leading to trillion dollar deficits to cheers of the masses while lambasting Bernie bros and the DNC for being statists.

If you care, you should be contacting your state reps and governors and asking them for more federalism.

Once you understand that the country doesn't exist, only then will you see that politics are theater. Money-flow is all that matters in a corporation. The UNITED STATES "of" AMERICA &c., is a corporation, congress is incorporated and when you vote your waive your rights under God's Law, i.e. allodial title and soverignty to contract a president for said corporation. Read Blacks Law and the legal def. of the US. We are not a country. We gave up our rights for convenience sake and by tacitly agreeing to aquire a social security # at birth.
