I have limited sympathy for people who get messed up by heroin because you would think by now they would have heard something bad about it. -Dylan Moran

Watched a documentary on junkies, one of those drug shows on netflix. The drug fiends would hear about another user dying by overdose and it wouldn't stop them from using, it would motivate them to find the drugs the dead guy used so they could get even higher. They are trying to die, and in Canada there is the MAID program. If that is acceptable why would we want to stop the junkies from dying?

I'm honestly baffled by the authorities in BC. Being Dippers / Greens, I assume they're the types who would still legislate that you can't smoke in a bar because it's bad for you and others, and yet here they are getting rid of laws against taking this exact poison. If I hated junkies and wanted them all to holocaust themselves at minimal government expense, I don't think I could come up with a better plan than what BC now has in place.
