I think you have ears but aren't hearing me 👍🏻

Well you are here in a forum for sharing thoughts and here you are on my post and
I have backed up what I say with examples, and
this has broader implications.
So, perhaps it is you who have eyes but are not willing to see what are in front of you.

You have every right to share thoughts. You're not backing it up tho. But it's good you're interested in this. Just look more into Gnosticism before falling for it. This YouTube video you watched is no good, either they don't know what it's about or they're intentionally misleading you.

You:

To re-cap:
My OP: The 'Parables' in the Gospel of Thomas included 'defects'
meant to be picked up and challenged by listeners
Saying:
20:"Mustard seed? The farm will quickly be overrun by them weeds!"
57:"Let weeds grow with the wheat? They'll lower yield by up to 50%!"
[This link was also provided.]
8: "Use the right sized mesh net to catch only the big fish faster and effortlessly"

Once one has accepted this premise, the discrepancies in Sayings 96 and 107 will become laughably obvious.
If they still escape detection, feel free to just ask me.

You:

'Gnosticism' is a label slapped on the Gospel of Thomas - but researchers do not agree it is a Gnostic text
I think this label is what blocks people from seeing what is right in front of their eyes.
Thus, to be able to see, they should remove what is blocking their ability to see: the label.

Notice also that my focus here is only on the Parables as recorded in the Gospel of Thomas - i.e. what they were intended to teach - and from the foregoing, the Parables are asking the audience to listen closely at what is being said to them - use your own senses and mind.
Does anyone have a problem with that?

You:

Anyone who actually watched the video would see that it has nothing to do with either the Gospel of Thomas nor Gnosticism.
Rather, it is a real life example of how one's mindset - unexamined / fixed & inflexible - is weaponized against oneself.

I didn't watch the YouTube video, assumed it had something to do with your post or why post it? I just could tell from the words listed you were confused so assumed the YouTuber tricked you, lot of nonsense on there.

Also you:

Clearly, your intent here is not to engage in good faith discussion.
