I've never read any specific sources that prove that, but I've heard it quite a bit.

The US military was mostly white during ww2, and there were black military units. So whiteness has been around for awhile.

I agree that it has been used to create social division in an ever-increasing way.

The US is intentionally being internally dismantled. Socially, and otherwise.

You do make a good point about racial segregation during WW2. I may have over reached on how much "white as a group" was a new construct. But prior to the american melting pot I don't think whiteness was a thing. A Frenchman and a Spaniard had no loyalty to each other even if they lived a few hundred feet and across a border from one another.

We're in complete agreement that certain groups are aggressively pushing the racial divide narrative to break up the various groups.

People who should otherwise be allies.
