... Knight dismisses their decision as a result of “cultural indoctrination”, arguing that the “actual instinct to procreate” is nothing more than a social construct. And he’s right. The idea that having children is a noble or necessary act is nothing more than a lie we tell ourselves to justify our own selfishness and short-sightedness.

I have a friend who's an antinatalist. I'm not against having kids, but you shouldn't procreate if you aren't able to take care of them.
