I remember reading an article in 2020 where an economist was saying: "So, the government's going to print itself over $4 trillion, but it's going to pin all the new money to new liabilities, so theoretically it shouldn't cause runaway inflation. Theoretically. Nothing like this has ever been done on this kind of scale."

Basically we took out a massive $4 trillion loan and said "Eh, I'm sure it'll be fine," and, folks, it is not gonna be fine.

What's disturbing is that the Republicans, the Democrats, and the MAGAs were all part of it. There is no party willing to say "How about we not borrow $4 trillion to pile on top of the $30 trillion in debt we already hold."

How big is this MAGA group I'm hearing so much about and how much influence do they have? I can count on one hand how many people I know who I would consider to be in this MAGA group.

/u/Hematomato is a distraction shill. The new version of socks.

On a similar vein, let's take a look at a similarly names group who deserves attention.

Your paranoia is just amazing - thinking you're important enough that The Jews sent me to distract you from your singular mission of spreading paranoia.

This is A Beautiful Mind level shit, Tom.

Definitely a tough topic. On one hand, it's not a formal, organized group at all. On the other hand, it's essentially America's third party, and the reason we don't have a functioning Congress right now.

I would define a MAGA voter as someone who:

  1. Supports Donald Trump;
  2. Thinks George W. Bush was a socialist and an embarrassment;
  3. Thinks the era of faith in politics is rightfully over;
  4. Thinks that Democrats aren't just wrong, they're evil, and working with them even on small things is unconscionable.

People who believe these four things constitute roughly a third of Republican voters and maybe 10% of Republican politicians, and they do not want to work with the other Republicans. It's basically become two parties. The McCain/Romney/McConnell party and the Trump party are not the same party.

They didn't have a choice. I don't think you understand the actual economic problem.

They had a choice. They could shut down a huge portion of the economy and pay people not to work, or they could not shut down a huge portion of the economy.

And they chose the former, because they panicked.

Did you know that the money supply is decreasing, but the debt is still increasing? It's not a paradox.

If you can't explain why, then you have no idea what you're talking about.
