Haiti was thriving before they murdered all the white people. You can't blame geography for that one.

Yeah, low IQ slaves stayed and made Haiti, while the intelligent owners made Santo Domingo.

The spanish side of the Island did not have a white genocide. The spanish were eventually kicked out. The dominicans are hispanic (a mix of spanish and indigenous people).

It was the French controlled side that had the rebellion and white genocide. The hatians are pure blooded africans.

While obviously the difference in outcomes between Dominican Republic and Haiti is the result of IQ differences, the fate of Haiti itself is the result of the genocide of whites. The IQ of the Haitians is a steady factor. What changed, and took Haiti from a prosperous country to a clusterfuck of poverty is the loss of white leadership and control.

The dominican republic was likely also better off under spanish rule, but I don't know their history well enough to say for certain.
