A blight on all the 'democracies' that allowed this to happen.

The USA could have taken the high road and admitted that its military "made a mistake", and we could have all moved on.

Instead, they have destroyed the foundations of their empire and made a mockery of journalism, freedom and the democratic project. Shame.
