Moon of Alabama has comments on Putin/Tucker starting at #182.

I love this comment by Apollyon | Feb 8 2024 23:49 utc | 201:

Tucker: "Who blew up Nord Stream?"
Putin: "You for sure."
Tucker: "I was busy that day. I did not blow up Nord Stream."
Putin: "You personally may have an alibi, but the CIA has no such alibi."

I can imagine reactions on the Western morning papers' front pages:

  • Putin gives an empty history lesson again.
  • A talk worth of a taxi driver.
  • Putin spends two hours, begging the West.
  • Putin never looked so scared.
  • Is Putin signalling a surrender?
  • Should the World take Putin seriously?
  • Is Putin hurt enough?

While he says that, certainly, a big war will happen in the Middle East and Russia will never give up even if it results in a war with the West.

Vladimir Putin's last story of the tragedy of Ukrainian soldiers surrounded by Russian soldiers who tried to get them to surrender and save their lives. The Ukrainians shouted back, "Russians never surrender!"

When the war in Ukraine eventually ends, the Ukrainians will morn their lost brothers, sons, and fathers and ask, "What for?"

The Chechens fought a brutal war with Russia which ended with the deaths of their brothers, fathers, and sons. When they asked, "What for?" They admitted they made a mistake and returned to Mother Russia.

At the end of this war, Ukrainians will turn their backs on the Empire of Lies and return to Mother Russia.

If this is legit, the reaction is much, much worse:

Want to keep puking? Here's an article that RWA pointed at during their livestream commenting on the interview:

Politico - Tucker Carlson’s Putin interview: 9 takeaways

POLITICO watched the 2-hour love-in with the Russian president so you don’t have to.

(because hey Americans, just make sure you don't waste time watching things we tell you are Bad™️ m'kay?)

It was never going to be a hard-hitter.

Few expected anything ground-breaking to emerge from Tucker Carlson’s sit-down with Vladimir Putin, conducted in Moscow on Tuesday and published on the conservative pundit’s website Thursday. Carlson met those expectations with his softball interview, failing to extract any stirring insights into the Russian president’s actual war aims, or hold him to account for his brutal invasion of Ukraine.

Putin, however, took full advantage of the opportunity to plant seeds of doubt about America’s aid for Ukraine and the U.S. political system.

Those 9 'takeaways' being:

1/ Putin isn’t done with his war

His war, sure.

2/ Putin sought to undermine Americans’ faith in democracy

Faith in what now? And what does blind belief have to do with something supposed to be decided by the people for the people and written down as concrete laws and rights?

3/ The Kremlin’s propagandists notch a win

Now that's just lazy.

4/ Putin continues his Elon Musk charm offensive

Yup, still lazy.

5/ Putin is open to a prisoner exchange involving journalist Evan Gershkovich

Finally, one thing that actually happened.

6/ U.S.-Russia channels of communication remain open

Well duh. Who needed this to know that Russia isn't the side that's been screwing over every single attempt at actual diplomacy?

7/ Tucker has a lot of time for Putin

How journalistic of Politico.

8/ Putin wants to blame the U.S. for the Nord Stream blasts

Which would translate as "Putin wants the truth to be known" which is still wrong anyway because he just stated what everybody already knows, and that everybody already knows it. But not Politico apparently.

9/ The interview’s most WTF moment

This Politico 'article'.
