It's bad enough that Western society is plunging into an abyss, but it's all the more infuriating when our governments are accomplices to the deviants dragging us into it.

In a humiliating spectacle that victimizes taxpayers and enriches four perverted scam artists, the city of Vienna last week unveiled a new $1.9 million public fountain that looks like it was slapped together by a group of snickering fourth-graders playing with Play-Doh.

...

From public art to basic standards of decency, our governments are increasingly dominated by people bent on destroying everything that made Western civilization great.

Fountains in 1902: Fountains in 2023:

Anyone who prefers 2023 to 1902 should be stripped of citizenship and exiled, preferably off-world.

They should be exiled to Vienna and only be allowed to look at that monstrosity. Not be allowed to see any other of Vienna’s art and beauty.

You know, I find the new fountain rather amusing in its childish whimsiness. Vienna has hundreds of classical sculptures and there would be nothing special about yet another nice Viennese statue group mit Schlag. This three-dimensional cartoon would have appealed to me greatly at age 11, and appeals to the 11-year-old still inside me. But then, I'm also a fan of the American artist Red Grooms, who constructed wonderful 3-D cartoons like his very droll Chicago, which I got to see in person.

I’ve seen water fountains designed to appeal to children and that one doesn’t cut it.😊

These water fountains appeal to children as the photos clearly show.

€1.8 million could have housed a bunch of homeless people or subsidized people's rising food and energy costs. Whoever authorized this expenditure should have their assets seized and sold and the monies refunded to the taxpayers.

Hmm, can't say I share your taste, but here's a reference for anyone else who's curious.
