For those wondering what Jill Stein thinks of the matter, here she is, in her own words:

NEWS FLASH: It was me that brought Peter Daou to Cornel West. WHY: Because i learned how essential an experienced campaign manager (CM) is from my campaigns without one. He's the most experienced CM i know of with independent/Green politics & strong opposition to duopoly. 11:33 AM · Sep 12, 2023

Though i didn't know of Peter Daou in his days as DNC defender, it's not hard to see how a war torn bloody childhood led to fierce opposition to Bush and bondage to the Dem Party. If only more liberal apologists would have this kind of wake up. 11:44 AM · Sep 12, 2023

With an experienced campaign manager, our team can give Cornel West the support he needs to break the duopoly and give all those thrown under the bus reason to fight back. 11:52 AM · Sep 12, 2023

He's an experienced campaign manager?

Can you point me to one campaign Peter Daou has actually run and won, or even lost? Like, anywhere?

As far as I can tell he's been an "advisor" to four congressional candidates who never even had the ghost of a chance in their primaries, let alone a general election. He was "campaign manager" for the Williamson farce for five weeks. He has never run a statewide campaign. He has never run a municipal campaign. What experience precisely is he bringing to this national campaign?

Can you tell me who you think would be better? Or which "winners" the Greens are likely to get?

I can't, no, because that's not my world. But Dr Stein is making positive claims for him, and I don't understand the basis for her claims.

If no one had said anything about Daou's experience, I would've shrugged and never checked on those candidates he advised, or the dates of his joining and leaving the Williamson campaign. But once he was called "an experienced campaign manager," and I looked into it, and I could find no reason to believe that - then I don't think it's unreasonable to ask.

Dr. Stein is unaware of Mr. Daou's activities during the 2016 campaign cycle, or his work with propagandist David Brock. Hillary-stan no matter what. Verrit for the "good" info, not the "bad" info, or whatever. Nope. Earlier in the 2024 cycle he was inspired to join the MW campaign for reasons, and then later departed for reasons.

His 2023-2024 activities won't include trolling on social media, or guiding Dr. West's political efforts towards a predictable 2016 Daou-era destination? Alright, sounds out-of-character for a Dr. West production, instead of likely to produce a positive result, but hey another election cycle will pop up in 2026, and then 2028. Wow, can't wait!
