iMHO the options before us (from my thoughts here) are:

1. Stay with indirect (political) democracy
- decide in Nov 2024; meanwhile, lively narrow spectrum debates @ chatter

a. Not going to shake things up for the Establishment - after all, it is THEIR Game
b. Shake things up a little with VotePact for the third partys - BUT they could turn out to be the Establishment's third partys

2. Shift to direct (political) democracy
Tools: Accretive Dialogue, VotePact, YourVoiceParty
Really shake things up - outplay the Establishment at their game.
BUT this is still narrow spectrum approach and would distract from #3 below if we do this first

3. Turn everyone's attention to full spectrum democracy:
- political, monetary, economic, media, dialogue, medical,.... but most importantly: mindset

NOTE 1: Most don't realize this but everyone is already doing full spectrum democracy and vote daily
That is what all the mind gatekeepers and their 24/7/365 noise & rabbitholes are for - to distract people from:
proper conversation on full spectrum democracy which will then (more likely than not) lead to their proper resolution -- against, rather than for the Corporatocracy

NOTE 2: We do not have to wait till Nov 2024 to vote - everyone can decide for self today:
What should be my or our common mindset that would best ensure survival of People & Planet?

NOTE 3: If we do option #3 first, then option #2, which would still be available, would be one of the means to take control of the political route.

The Establishment would love to see everyone stuck having lively debates on #1, as well as options #2 & #3 being pooh-poohed.

But for everyone else, we must remember the bitter lesson learnt by the Israelites:

Dwelling in the Old / Familiar / As Is (Egypt) whilst putting zero positive energy into the New / Unfamiliar / To Be (Promised Land) guarantees no advancement.

We must stop dwelling on the Present System
We must press on with Our Own New System
Else, we will never see positive change

Have you heard of deliberative democracy tested successfully by a Californian academic?

And/or the Pluralist Commonwealth ideas from Gar Alperovitz?

I am not familiar with them.

From a cursory glance, it appears:

  • Deliberative Democracy deals with issues/improvements in the political spectrum, whereas
  • Pluralist Commonwealth deals with issues/improvements in the economic spectrum

BUT as I mentioned above, we are already doing Full Spectrum Democracy - except most take no notice of it.

As such, IMHO it would be better to focus attention on full spectrum discussions, rather than on limited spectrum discussions.
