Now go one better and vote for an independent (i.e. non party) presidential candidate

(Are there any in the US? I'm not actually sure)

All political parties subvert the democratic process

Are there any independent candidates in the US?

John B. Anderson in 1980 JBA! JBA!
Ross Perot in 1992

I voted for both. Then the Democratic-Republican Party (DeRP) made sure it was virtually impossible to get on ballots and actually impossible to join debates.

Hi /UseFewerSyllables - sorry I missed your comment - I was away from internet access for a few days:)

Fortunately, with a great candidate that it's hard to say anything bad about, I think getting signatures will be doable. So far, people have started petitioning in nine states, are getting ready to in nine more, are on the ballot in 18 states, and have to wait in 15 more due to state laws. That includes DC, for people who are adding them up:)
