Its standard procedure. The guys get paid time off while the dept investigates. With that body cam footage there is no doubt this will be ruled justified.

The standard needs to download an update! Cop does job, cop keeps job. Cop didn't do job? Cop doesn't get job, but cop does job and cop cannot be allowed back for what reason again? Stupidity? Yes. Things like this will lead to worse things. It's like when body cameras are introduced, things got complicated. NO. Stupid stepped in. Simply have the video reviewed. Is same-day asking too much?
