This was a very bizarre case.

I think the mother was schizophrenic.

Well, expensive medication, expensive health- and mental-healthcare, only western country with no paternity leave.

She was schizo tho for sure, but hell my mother was a lone mother of three and I remember when she told us of how she'd been so depressed, stressed and misreable that she even had thoughts of just driving the car with all of us and ending it all.

The mother said something about the kid making her kill him, then she told the cop that he needs to kill her, then she grabs the gun and she gets her wish. She's probably mentally unstable.

Adrenaline, that's why he isn't even shaking or screaming.

Secondly the body can take an absurd amount of punishment as long as no vitals are hit. Basically all the stabs are his shoulders or ribs that thankfully are evolved just for this shit.
