Children can strangely be durable. I remember reading a news story of a baby falling from a 3 or 4 story building, but the baby didn't die or even suffer injuries.

This just doesn't look like that serious of an accident. They look like they were clipped and slid on ice afterward, then got stopped by a rubber tire. An adult would've also survived that.
