I never understood this stair well design with a giant death hole right down the middle. I know this is Russia but I've seen plenty of these in the states. Would it kill the owners to install a net or two?

In the uni I went to there was a big wide stairwell in the Student's Union building. One day a student was depressed and jumped off the top floor and their head burst open and their brains came out. They installed nets after that.
