IMHO, as bad as many places are, this is THE hot spot where it could actually go nuclear. For about a decade I've had it as a minor plot point in my book.

Everyone has seen these kind of displays on the internet, but looks can be decieving.

How popular would such a war be with the people in each of these countries? Does the citizenry call for blood daily? Are the soldiers totally in, or only in part? Are the governments talking?

What kind of regional alliances are affected by this?

What does this REALLY mean?
