It's ironic. When they could send in a top tier kill team to get Putin. For some pocket change.

Have you ever noticed how rare it is for the top bad guy to get what's coming. They'll happily kill a few hundred thousand foot soldiers. Then let the bad guy off with a slap on the wrist. Unless of course the CIA are scared people will know they made him in the first place. Like Saddam and Osama.

What's ironic about that? Nothing.

I think the official reason is that nuclear retaliation is feared, but I think people will just shrug their shoulders and say "Thank you". The unofficial reason might be the defense money from Europe. War is good for American business.
