Open Society Foundations article about "Gender Ideology" revels in its ability to confuse the average reader in 2017

I noticed that fact that the author constantly uses "LGBTI" when it's obvious that gender ideology only matters to the T.

I've gotten into arguments on Reddit with people who claim gender ideology is some kind of bogeyman that doesn't exist -- when you can easily and clearly point to a body of academic work from the 1990s to the present that codifies it and informs social policy. It's so strange when people are trying to push an ideology while simultaneously claiming that it doesn't even exist.

It all feels like the same postmodernism stuff they use for everything. In terms of language all words have no meaning and simultaneously mean a very specific thing which you are expected to know after pulling the definition out of an undisclosed orifice.

It's more like when they claim caNcel cUlTure doEsn'T eXist!, while, at the same time, chasing gender critical feminists around campus with sticks.

Just a random article I stumbled upon looking for something else. It may not be of interest to many, but I find these snapshots in time interesting.

Edit: Ah, already posted here a few years ago. Fascinating. So just a few years ago the term "gender ideology" only starting to gain recognition. So the article I posted was an attempt to vilify the term and make it unspeakable. Moreover, to make it impossible to understand. Apparently that didn't work.

Also interesting that they try to transfer the term to the right, using the term “gender ideology” to describe opposition to transgenderism as well as its actual meaning. It’s extremely dishonest, and every once in a while I see other leftists try and do the same.
