My university recently had an event for BIPOC LGBTQIA+ alums at a reunion. I walked by the location just to see. I think there were three people there, who were probably the organizers.

Remember, all these DEI program directors have to create events in order to look like their salaries are justified.

I’ve always thought it mush be quite stressful being a DEI officer/manager. Always worried that your scam will be rumbled, always worried that a fellow DEI officer will throw you under the bus to save themselves.

They are the modern equivalent of Political Commissars in the USSR.

That's how lots of jobs are, lots of people being laid off now, not easy getting new jobs. The DEI people might be too stupid but I bet many know it's a scam that won't last forever so are cashing in now while thinking of new hustles.
