I don't think it is that much, I think its down to the civil service combined with spineless politicians not pushing back on them. I used to think "yes minister" was a comedy...Not a documentary.

Like with this, a civil service group, is using taxpayer money. Who have it to them, woke politicians. This article shows most workers are trying their best to ignore the woke bullying.
