You're the only one with bodily autonomy here. They need to shut the fuck up for about three years and then move out and go be someone else's burden.

Yeah basically. The parent having to go online for validation (Assuming it is real), just shows they aren't mature enough either.

Were I in this situation, I'd just tell the kid "no". And if they wine and complain about it, I'd just punish them. Easy.

You are trans? No, that's stupid. You want me to drive you to the LGBTQIA+ support meeting? No. You screamed at me yesterday you don't get free taxi service. If you want to go you can walk there.

There's little you can do to directly control the kid and if they want to be trans they will do it regardless but you don't have to be an enabler. You can just ignore their nonsense.
