No....its not innate, you can't be born a pedophile, that requires being an adult. When I was 13 I was attracted to other 13 year olds gasp! Yet as an adult I certainly am not. Just no to this

The actual diagnosis age for pedophilia is 15/16 year old. It doesn't require the person to be an adult. They just need to be pubscent and attracted to PREpubscent children.

They still do not know for certain what causes it. But, one of the leading (with evidence) is pedophiles who suffered child abuse in their past.

Irl there is a higher correlation between torturing animals as a child and becoming a paedo than being abused as a child.

Love, you could at least try to use updated articles for your points. Might as well just grab something from the 2000s. The article still writes that some, even small, still go on to become sex offenders. Despite the wrong labeling, it's sex offenders.

This research is still not majorly researched due to controversy. The article states one of the most heavily under-researched groups is sexually abused but don't go on to offend. The article still writes that we need to understand why most don't offend, and some still do. In order to actually protect children.

But, let's go with your logic. So, with the small group who do become pedophiles or offenders, who are still minors. What shall we do with them?

It's a form of paraphilia/disorder. Neither sadism or sexuality.
