Yeah, while there's definitely still a female brain present, the looks passes for a man very well. And I think this explains why so many MtF look so bad. If an ugly female makes a normal-looking "guy", an ugly man will usually make an atrociously ugly "gal".

of course a dysphoric trans woman will be trying to PASS and, uh, have a basic familiarity with shampoo: whenever someone makes the news they're always of the "Rondo Hatton with eyeliner" or "incestuous Benjamin Franklin cosplayer" type

trans men aren't too noticeable, there's many short guys with elf chins

Yeah, and the beards are a definite advantage for the ladies in hiding the soft jawline.
