People who aren't female or male.

They dropped the "gender is not sex" cop-out so suddenly, I wish I had taken more screenshots of it.

You can make them real mad when you loop the questions like this.

If you aren't male or female what are you?

I'm non-binary.

What's that?

It means I'm not male or female.

Ok what are you?

I'm non-binary. It means I'm not male or female.

Yes , I understand what you are not. What are you?

I'm non-binary!

What's that mean?

I'm ending this conversation.

Very funny. Of course it doesn't mean anything. It means you aren't what you are?

I could accept this more if people just didn't take it as an identity and just said "I don't feel like I am restricted to traditional fender rolls" and like cool, you never were. Men can cook. Women can drive cars. Doesn't mean either is non-binary.

And if gender is in fact a spectrum, then every point on that spectrum is non-binary by definition, including the two extremes. Which no real person can reach anyway, because they're social constructs that aren't exactly the same in every society. So if Queer Theory was internally consistent, people who identify with binary genders would be just another kind of non-binary because binary genders literally don't exist. But we are supposed to believe that some people are more non-binary than others, and should be specially categorized as such.

They tell us "there's no such thing as a boy or a girl" but also gender identity is "Who a person knows themself to be. A child may identify as a boy or girl" (in the womb!), so children can know they are something that doesn't exist, and some people are neither of these things that don't exist... but gender identity is absolutely immutable and unmistakable except when it's extremely fluid and hard to pin down... and gender isn't a choice but you have rights based on your "chosen gender"... look, just believe whatever any Queer person says at the moment and stop asking questions, you bigot!
