This violent assault is a symptom of western decline. Elderly gay people, who have lived through real systematic homophobia, are being treated like shit by young people, LGBT or not. Maybe a ban on gay people born after a certain year from marrying might send a message and it should remain in effect until LGB millennials and zoomers cop on to themselves.

The last bit is a hot take, so I don't actually agree with it. But sometimes I feel like a bit of adversity might do young people good.
