Some fascist definitions being applied to Mussolini's Italy.

https://www.crf-usa.org/bill-of-rights-in-action/bria-25-4-mussolini-and-the-rise-of-fascism.html

  • Absolute Power of the State: Fascist regimes have a strong centralized state, or national government. The fascist state seeks total control over all major parts of society. Individuals must give up their private needs and rights to serve the needs of the whole society as represented by the state.
  • Rule by a Dictator: A single dictator runs the fascist state and makes all the important decisions. This leader often uses charisma, a magnetic personality, to gain the support of the people.
  • Corporatism: Fascists believe in taming capitalism by controlling labor and factory owners. Unions, strikes, and other labor actions are illegal. Although private property remains, the state controls the economy.
  • Extreme Nationalism: The fascist state uses national glory and the fear of outside threats to build a new society based on the “common will” of the people. Fascists believe in action and looking at national myths for guidance rather than relying on the “barren intellectualism” of science and reason.
  • Superiority of the Nation’s People: Fascists hold up the nation’s people as superior to other nationalities. They typically strengthen and unify the dominant group in a nation while stifling dissent and persecuting minority groups.
  • Militarism and Imperialism: Fascists believe that great nations show their greatness by conquering and ruling weak nations. Fascists believe the state can survive only if it successfully proves its military superiority in war.

The modern US could easily be described in the same general terms. Except, the one obvious difference is the US doesn't have a dictator. The US oligarchs prefer weak presidents.

No strong presidents since Kennedy, and they assassinated him.

This somewhat explains why Trump is the target of the extreme media resistance. Although, many of the attacks are actually intended to galvanize support for him among conservatives, and independents.

I'm not accusing the US of being a fascist state. It's just worth considering the fact that there really isn't much of a distinction....

This is also why the term "fascism" is supposedly difficult for experts define.

It's useage is applied similarly to the word "terrorism". It's only applied to our enemies, and never to our allies.

Edit: This applies to both factions (Democrats and Republicans) of the unopposed Corporate Party.

Prescott Bush was a Nazi banker and he was a republican senator. With republican son and grandson presidents.

The Nazis were certainly fascists, so...

I don't know any Republicans today that like bush. I never did. Fake Republican imo

That doesn't negate his point.

I don't know any Democrats who like Hillary. Nonetheless, gangsters rule the world.

Only the bushes and nixon did something bad out of all Republican presidents. Most of the bad presidents were demokkkrat. Only impeached presidents were demokkkrats. Demokkkrats created the KKK and confederacy. They promise free stuff to lazy people for votes.

Every president, save maybe Jimmy Carter, is pure evil in whatever disguise it takes to fool most of the people. Lincoln was the worst. Nixon, ironically did a lot of good-ish things too, depending on your perspective. FYI the Republicans and Democrats swapped stances - look into it and learn some history.

If you buy into the left-right paradigm and the D vs R shit then you've got lots left to learn. ALL government is evil.

He's baaack! :-)

Not really.

Before I was trying to help SaidIt build its community. Then M7 had a meltdown from nowhere and claimed I was the worst thing happening to SaidIt. M7 chose to buy into an ingnorant 14 year old's drama over legit skepticism of the Holocaust exaggeration. (Beta documentary: https://www.ancreport.com/documentary/spinning-squirrel-how-pysch-warfare-propaganda-became-the-historical-narrative/ ) Not really the hill I ever thought I'd die on.

Now I have no interest in building this site. I'm in no hurry, but I intend to finish the banners and CSS I promised and to offload as many subs as I can. When I get to it. Then I'll just be a user/exploiter of this free online resource for my personal projects and soon two more: Green Party and Windsor Ontario socializing. I will be refraining from my former toxic sharing and building truth-seeking communities and generally stay within my little sub-bubbles. Just like on the Reddit he said he aimed to defy.

Meh.

... Jimmy Carter? What did he do good? His campaign posters even had Confederate flags. Nixon did a lot good true. No, voter switch isn't policy switch. Name the policies they switched on? Only demokkkrats claim this. I been studying politics almost 5 years now kid lol trust me. Blind statements wont get you no where with me ;)

[–]JasonCarswell 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

Jimmy Carter was a puppet pure and simple - but he's the only non-war president (not counting whatever the CIA was doing). They got rid of him when he wouldn't go along more. Since then Carter's been helping poor nations get legitimate uncorrupted voting, to some degree. No other presidents help/ed poor countries for shit.

It's fucking common knowledge.

Type "when did re" and you get... https://duckduckgo.com/?q=when+did+republicans+and+democrats+switch

5 years? Oooo. How young/naive are you?

I didn't buy 9/11 when it happened, and to be honest, I was skeptical about God from my youth in the 70s and 80s and cemented my doubt in government with the JFK 1991 movie. Fuck all authority. Even mine. Do your own research.

I was animating high-end TV commercials in NYC in 2004 when I saw The Corporation which led me, among other things, to quit that life and pursue activism and deeper meaning in my life. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=the+corporation+documentary

All government is entwined/enslaved to corporations, the deep state, CIA, Zionists, Wahhabist, NeoCons, Freemasons, all mixed together into the global corporatocracy. They are the great evil. "Left" and "right" are just their puppets. Stay asleep or open your eyes. I care not.

I have spoken.

Like I said, voter switch isn't party switch. You still haven't named a policy they switched on. Even that google/duckduckgo search talks about voter switch when you read into it. No policies switched = no party switch. I dont vote on how others vote... Brainwashed people do. Try again.

Nixon was a republican. Resigned before impeachment.

[–]shtposter9000[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

He was never impeached. Period. Whats bad about him? Deleting a 16 minute phone call on a phone they were talking to hookers?... Damn k you got me on this one 🤣🤣🤣🤣

[–]Tom_Bombadil 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Resigned before impeachment was possible.

He was pardoned. One has to commit a crime to be pardoned.

His undermining of a Vietnam peace treaty, and extension of the war was treasonous. Literally undermining official diplomatic negotiations, and negotiating with the enemy.

Treason.

[–]shtposter9000[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

"Resigned before impeachment was possible." Any official report by Republicans that state this or just news?....🤣🤣🤣

[–]Tom_Bombadil 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Did he resign on accident?

I don't think he should have resigned. Had he fought it then it would have went through the legal process and exposed the criminals who set him up.

I doubt he was a part of Watergate. That was deep state setup to check his power and get the puppet Ford in.

[–]fruitjack 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

na, it's all right wing shite. try not to get your facts from failed dating show hosts.

[–]shtposter9000[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

Yet you can't name a policy on the right that makes us fascist. Kid.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Corporate support.

Extreme nationalism.

Militarism.

Imperialism.

[–]shtposter9000[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

"corporate support" what policy is that... Thats not a policy. Its a blind statement. "extreme nationalism"... Nationalism is where policies are govern... Meaning "globalism" is pushing YOUR agenda on others = warmongering. "militarism" what policy are you talking about?

"imperialism" LOLOLOL... Thats the opposite of "nationalism"... You kids are too easy to debate with. "imperialism" wouldn't be a "america first" policy. Next time get a parent to help? Please.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I think you should consult a dictionary for the definition of those terms, and then have someone read your response to you out loud.

[–]shtposter9000[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

So you can't explain yourself and I need to do research for you to explain it better... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thats not how debates work. Try again.

[–]BorrowedLadder 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Democrats aren't the left my dude. Look up the John Brown Gun club and step outside the bicker box that was created for you. There's no such thing as Democrats or Republicans on the political level. They all serve the same masters. The true battle is between classes. They are hopelessly outnumbered and the only recourse is to keep us believing that our enemy is our neighbor.

[–]shtposter9000[S] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Kid, i'm in commiefornia. I don't need fake news to think for me like a handicapped person that votes for free stuff because he is useless in life.

Bullshit

[–]shtposter9000[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yet you can't name policies = you are a worthless welfare leech.

[–]asg101 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (12 children)

Mussolini would beg to differ. Fascism is the epitome of capitalism.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You may be on to something, if you include the corporatism.

Fascism may be the logical destination of corporate capitalism.

[–]Only71Genders 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Fascism is everything that capitalism aims to avoid. Capitalism requires a free market and fascism requires absolute government control over markets. Two completely conflicting ideologies in that regard.

[–]Tom_Bombadil 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Corporatism undermines capitalism. It undermines the conservation value of ownership.

Shareholders have no say in decisions of a corporation. They can only vote on appointed leadership.

Conservatives democratic values have been sanitized out of via corporatism.

[–]Only71Genders 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Sorry, I'm not sure if you are disagreeing with my comment or agreeing with it. If disagreeing, what specific part? If not, cheers!

[–]Tom_Bombadil 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I'm not disagreeing with your general message.

Although I don't think that capitalism and fascism are mutually exclusive.

I think that capitalism is predicated off of the interests of the bankers (capital), and their interests depend upon the political climate if the geography/era.

The capitalists would have been fine with the fascists winning WW2.

Edit:. Interestingly the capitalists also funded the Bolshevik take over of Russia. They play many angles...

[–]shtposter9000[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Name the policies that align Mussalini with the right. Or even hitler. Capitalism is free trade. Nothing else. Its not giving away free stuff to losers that vote like they are handicapped and need someone to take care of them. That simple.

[–]asg101 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

I think I get it now. Capitalism is where those with money and power make all the decisions and control governments that enact policies that favor the rich and powerful, whereas Fascism is where those with power and money control governments that enact policies that favor the powerful and rich! Certainly not the same at all, what a stupid mistake to make! Thank you Ms. or Mr. shtposter9000 for your insightful comments.

[–]shtposter9000[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Fascism takes freedom of speech and opposing platforms from people. No dictator let people hold rallies against them in the streets. Capitalism = free trade. Socialism = taking money from capitalism to pay for its free stuff. No such thing on earth called "socialist trade'' 🤣🤣🤣

[–]asg101 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

The endpoint of capitalist "free trade" is the rich owning the government and everything else, and using it all to further enrich themselves. You claim that this is somehow different from fascism, but I see no difference in the results. Show me one "free trade" country that does not use it's police, military, and corporations to enrich the wealthy at the expense of all other classes of people. The realities of the world do not fit your fantasies.

[–]shtposter9000[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Than why did the capitalist Trump NOT accept money from big banks yet the socialist hitlary did? What country has had the pleasure of enduring "endpoint of capitalist "free trade" is the rich owning the government and everything else, and using it all to further enrich themselves"???? Please link it to me.

[–]asg101 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah, anyone who thinks "hitlery" is a socialist is beyond educating.

When 8 people in the world own more wealth than 1/2 the entire worlds population, the endpoint is certainly in sight to anyone not deliberately ignoring it.

[–]shtposter9000[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Demokkkrats voted for the central bank that we owe our debt to... The very same people you are talking about. 1913 central banking act. Jew demokkkrats also lol. Socialism is literally taking wealth from one class and giving it to the next. Hitlary is 100% socialist. Name 1 economic policy of hitlary that isn't sociailist. That should be easy... Right?
