We at GC use either TRA (trans rights activist) or QT (queer theory.) Queer theory covers people who believe you don't need dysphoria to be trans, you don't need to do anything to your body to be trans, support xenogenders such as moongender, try to say that biology is a social construct, deny AGP as a condition, push medical transition for very young children, support self-ID et cetera.

The opposite would be the transmedicalist, who generally believe that gender dysphoria is a diagnosable disorder, people should only transition to alleviate gender dysphoria and acknowledge they cannot change their biological sex. There are problems with this belief too but generally not the same level of crazy as the QT.

Someone could be a Trans Rights Activist and only cover issues that transmedicalists and the general population would support, such as gatekeeping or equal opportunity housing and employment, but they are rare.
