I feel this way often, reading about this shit, and I have to remind myself that trans is an umbrella term, and the repulsive, outrageous, histrionic AGP fetish contingent does not have the same goals as the HSTS/truscum contingent, most of whom are totally reasonable and are the true victims in all of this by association.

However HSTS also have their issues. They are more likely than AGP to push child transition and be openly homophobic.

Nowadays I mentally compartmentalize medically supervised transsexuals who are sane like Debbie Hayton and Buck Angel as an entirely separate group from "trans". Like, transsexual is distinct from trans, transgender, etc. It's so true that the AGP crowd has essentially used their power to enable the normalization of their fetish activities while at the same time ruining the appearance of their community to the outside world.
