I knew it would happen, but I'm still sad.

Seriously, I hate Reddit. It doesn't matter how nice and kind and accepting people are. What matters is that they dissent from the party line. It was so upsetting when our small GCDebatesQT sub was banned for "hate speech," just like SuperStraight was. We even had two trans women moderators and a community full of trans and non-trans people who were friends and liked and respected each other, even when we disagreed. But none of that was enough for Reddit. The admins there just want to silence unapproved speech.

[–]Menstrual_Krampus 27 insightful - 3 fun27 insightful - 2 fun28 insightful - 3 fun -  (6 children)

i was a member of that sub. We got into some really good debates there, and for the most part everyone was respectful (though I don't think we changed each other's minds much.

[–][deleted] 22 insightful - 2 fun22 insightful - 1 fun23 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

You cannot change the mind of someone who is already so far deep in denial. They need to be willing to question their own identities first. The main reason debate matters is for neutral onlooker "normies" who stumble upon the space.

[–]jjdub7 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

They need to be willing to question their own identities first.

You're talking about people who have internalized mental illness as part of their "identity" - and no, actually referring to the "neurodivergent" crowd, not even the obvious trans activists.

[–][deleted] 9 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

And that mental illness has its very roots in their lack of identity to begin with.

[–]worried19 14 insightful - 2 fun14 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Your screen name gave me the best laugh of the day! So hard to laugh when half the world has gone insane and they're the ones making the laws.

Just wanna say what I couldn't on Reddit: the current trans movement is fucking disgusting and awful, filled with horrible rape apologists, child groomers, violence fetishizing incels, and outright homophobes. I don't support any of them whatsoever. They all need therapy and a good hard dose of reality. Nobody ought to give a shit about their identities or enable their gender LARPing.

[–]ShieldMaiden 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

There is a subset of this movement literally pushing gay/non-gender stereotype conforming eugenics in the form of sterilizing kids, and they want us to believe we're on the wrong side of history. I feel in time this will all be looked back on like the lobotomy movement of the early-mid 20th century is now. Insane, immoral bigotry disguised as 'medicine', only this time's even worse as the profit motive behind drugs and cosmetic surgery is a hell of a lot bigger than ramming an ice pick up someone's nose. Just my 2 cents.

[–][deleted] 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It is really largely indistinguishable from lobotomies. "Can't cure the dysphoria with therapy? Fuck it, let's do some wacky experimental surgeries!".

[–]Throwaway101 35 insightful - 3 fun35 insightful - 2 fun36 insightful - 3 fun -  (5 children)

Absolutely uncalled for. We were friendly, inclusive, wholesome and we Were helping with a charity for a rape relief center. How is this even fair?

[–]Chipit 23 insightful - 2 fun23 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

You were making really good arguments that had no answer. And you were using the trans' own logic to do so.

[–]bopomofodojo 22 insightful - 2 fun22 insightful - 1 fun23 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

And this is exactly why it was banned. Their ideology has no logical consistency, only cult-like mantras. Any debate very clearly demonstrates their inconsistency and nonsensical beliefs, so it must be shut down immediately. And the logic-back-on-them just shows how weak the arguments are. The funny thing was how many TRAs saying "omg this satire is so offensive" and I'm thinking "what satire? this is literally what you say". And not to mention the blatant gaslighting, replying to a tweet with 100k likes that "no one thinks this". So absurd.

[–]Chipit 8 insightful - 3 fun8 insightful - 2 fun9 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

It's not a contradiction. They really do think like this.

It is not, as many think, a fear of being exposed as fraudulent or illegitimate—or otherwise of losing the debate or looking bad in the challenging conversation—that prevents those who have internalized a significant amount of the Critical Social Justice Theory mindset that prevents these sorts of things from happening. There’s a mountain of Theoretical reasons that they would avoid all such activities, and even if those are mere rationalizations of a more straightforward fear of being exposed as fraudulent or losing, they are shockingly well-developed and consistent rationalizations that deserve proper consideration and full explanation.

There are a number of points within Critical Social Justice Theory that would see having a debate or conversation with people of opposing views as unacceptable, and they all combine to create a mindset where that wouldn’t be something that adherents to the Theory are likely or even willing to do in general. This reticence, if not unwillingness, to converse with anyone who disagrees actually has a few pretty deep reasons behind it, and they’re interrelated but not quite the same. They combine, however, to produce the first thing everyone needs to understand about this ideology: it is a complete worldview with its own ethics, epistemology, and morality, and theirs is not the same worldview the rest of us use.

I love you all. You have no idea how empty my reddit feels now. You are all amazing. We had men, women, gay, straight, bi, black, white, liberal, conservative even some decent trans folks... What other group can give me that?

[–]EllaRoxy 17 insightful - 2 fun17 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

It was truly magical and for the first time in years I felt I had a sane place to discuss real issues. As a super lesbian the last decade has been a challenge. Happy to see many of you here.

[–][deleted] 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Our work stamping out new age homophobia is far from some, but hopefully soon we'll be able to peak the entire work to the trans community's madness.

[–]EllaRoxy 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Well I am on board all the way! I'm out of the closet now and not going back in. I am so sick of their arguments too. We don't care who you date as long as you date us and oh btw suddenly develop a huge love of girlcock. I remember the first time I saw that word somewhere and I thought no way this will catch on. People will call them out. Then I saw boipussy somewhere and thought what? Then I got my first threat on a dating app. A decade later I am still dealing with their bullshit. No more.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yeah, like, okay it's fine to be trans just be aware that there's gonna be some, y'know, reasonable challenges in the dating department... But I never expected the trans community would organize a mass shaming campaign aimed at sending hate speech and threats to lesbians for not submitting to girldick or neovag, like what the actual fuck?! And the LGB community allowed the T to latch onto and kill a successful community.

It's like discovering your new friend is literally a serial rapist out to get you and he has yours and all your friends' contact info.

[–]EllaRoxy 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

That is incredibly accurate. What's ironic is none of them seem to realize they have brought this on themselves by simply not respecting other people's boundaries. Everyone gets rejected. What most people do is move on. What these people do is rage, name call, gaslight, threaten, bully and guilt trip. Which is not a normal, healthy response to rejection.

[–]Riothamus 26 insightful - 1 fun26 insightful - 0 fun27 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

They truly believe they can force compliance on everybody. It's why they never clamp down on their community's rapey bullshit.

[–]jjdub7 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Worse, they truly believe that they can change minds by doing so.

[–][deleted] 20 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 0 fun21 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They don't have a grasp on objective reality. Of course that's what they think. They're delusional and have literally set us back decades on homophobia and gender stereotypes. They're regressive degenerates that think their mental illness is some kind of entitlement to rape.

[–]our_team_is_winning 18 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 0 fun19 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

They've got the very president of the USA acting like being "born in the wrong body" and having the medical ability to "change your sex" are something other than science fiction (read: sexual fetish), so at this point they feel invincible, I'm sure. Wow, just realized that's only two letters different from invisible.

[–]SkepticalHPS 17 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 0 fun18 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yeah that’s the other things: I’m sick of liberals saying shit like “oh only a handful of nuts on tumblr believe sex is a social construct/it’s fair for men to compete with women in sports/etc.” This shit is being pushed by the fucking president, now they’re forcing it on average Joe American. The backlash is gonna be insane and unfortunately the LGB will be caught in it too.

[–]forsaken 14 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 0 fun15 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I think that's already happening. LGBTQ+ acceptance among young Americans (particularly females, interestingly) has been declining the past couple years, and I'm positive that's not because of the LGB.

Honestly, it lasted slightly longer than I expected. I joined at around 3k members and saw it grow to around 30k. It really tapped into something that has been brewing for a long time. The use of wholesomeness and satire was genius. It truly enraged the illiberal zealot TRAs. George Orwell once wrote that "every joke is a tiny revolution" and r/SuperStraight proved that

[–][deleted] 17 insightful - 2 fun17 insightful - 1 fun18 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

If these transcels would just suck each other's womenly girldicks and leave the rest of us the fuck alone, we wouldn't have to put up with this shit.

[–]jjdub7 6 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 3 fun -  (2 children)

I feel this way often, reading about this shit, and I have to remind myself that trans is an umbrella term, and the repulsive, outrageous, histrionic AGP fetish contingent does not have the same goals as the HSTS/truscum contingent, most of whom are totally reasonable and are the true victims in all of this by association.

[–]jet199 11 insightful - 2 fun11 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

However HSTS also have their issues. They are more likely than AGP to push child transition and be openly homophobic.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Nowadays I mentally compartmentalize medically supervised transsexuals who are sane like Debbie Hayton and Buck Angel as an entirely separate group from "trans". Like, transsexual is distinct from trans, transgender, etc. It's so true that the AGP crowd has essentially used their power to enable the normalization of their fetish activities while at the same time ruining the appearance of their community to the outside world.

[–]BruMate21 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It may be useful to reach out to the news sites publishing articles about the sub. All of them paint it as a 4chan neo nazi group. None of them mention the superstraight efforts to raise money for vancouver rape relief, or the fact that gays, lesbians, and bisexuals had a safe space there to talk about our sexualities, or how it shed light on a very disturbing problem of promoting rape culture and conversion therapy in the trans community.

    [–]Chipit 7 insightful - 4 fun7 insightful - 3 fun8 insightful - 4 fun -  (4 children)

Welcome to being an outcast. It was fun being on the inside, wasn't it? You got to call anyone who disagreed with you a nazi, and it felt good.

Now, exactly as predicted, the monster you created turned on you and now you're stuck on a free speech site with all the other deplorables. You get to find out what it's like for anything you say to be tarred with the brush of "4chan neo nazi group". Well, don't say you weren't warned.

WILLIAM ROPER: So, now you give the Devil the benefit of law!

SIR THOMAS MORE: Yes! What would you do? Cut a great road through the law to get after the Devil?

ROPER: I'd cut down every law in England to do that!

MORE: Oh? And when the last law was down, and the Devil turned 'round on you, where would you hide, Roper, the laws all being flat? This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man's laws, not God's! And if you cut them down, and you're just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I'd give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety's sake!

Someone mentioned class action lawsuit. Seems like a stretch but tbh I think it'd be viable on a number of levels. The actual thing to go after would be reddit's profit from actual rape, child sexual abuse, and human trafficking content. The fact that the sub that messaged child porn to our mods is still up, shows that Reddit blatantly supports these things. Not to mention the fact that they have at least a dozen, if not more, subs dedicated to rape fetish content. Mix in the discrimination based on protected classes i.e.: sexuality, and the longtime censorship of lesbians, and I think you'd have a viable case. Just look at Pornhub, they had their asses handed to them for hosting huge amounts of child porn, real rape, and human trafficking content. That same content is on reddit.

Mainstream media has been infiltrated by identitarians. The freaking editor in chief of the New York Times resigned because her own staff were slandering her and calling her a nazi. She just did a big expose about critical race theory in schools, which I promise you would never have been published in the NYT

    https://www.city-journal.org/the-miseducation-of-americas-elites

For most parents, the demonization of capitalism is the least of it. They say that their children tell them they’re afraid to speak up in class. Most of all, they worry that the school’s new plan to become an “anti-racist institution”—unveiled this July, in a 20-page document—is making their kids fixate on race and attach importance to it in ways that strike them as grotesque.

    .

“The school can ask you to leave for any reason,” said one mother at Brentwood, another Los Angeles prep school. “Then you’ll be blacklisted from all the private schools and you’ll be known as a racist, which is worse than being called a murderer.”

    .

What does it say about the current state of that meritocracy, then, that it wants kids fluent in critical race theory and “white fragility,” even if such knowledge comes at the expense of Shakespeare? “The colleges want children—customers—that are going to be pre-aligned to certain ideologies that originally came out of those colleges,” says a STEM teacher at one of New York’s prestigious prep schools. “I call it woke-weaning. And that’s the product schools like mine are offering.”

thinking about it, posting a un-reverse searcahble image, and then a long speil about feeling like a fraud and knowing that you'd never pass, and struggling with people telling you that you look like a girl, but deep down, knowing that you'll always be a fake, and knowing that you'll be instantly rejected if anyone ever found out. What else. throw in feeling guilt at not being able to give your future partner their own children, and then a tearful farewell world a few posts later, never to return. What do you reckon, /u/theameliamay would that fuck you up?

Be aware that Reddit is banning people for what they say in private messages:

Watching Reddit TQs treat straight people like they've been treating lesbians is hilariously sad.

I didn't realize lesbians were dealing with this. We didn't appreciate it until we experienced it ourselves.

There is also a hidden subsaidit, https://saidit.net/s/LGBDropTheT/ which is removed from /all because Saidit is a free speech site, and they openly violate free speech on their subsaidit by censoring dissent. That's where all the Lesbians and radical feminists went.

No, the radical feminists went to s/GenderCritical: https://saidit.net/s/gendercritical/

But yeah, that's where a bunch of us SuperLesbian, SuperGay, and SuperBi people hang out. :)

      edit: And our straight allies!
