Basically, we rely too much on automation, and many have no concept of actual research, or care to learn things such as fact checking. My own personal beliefs are that with any solarflare, emp, or pole reversal, which are all three major global concerns, we'd be knocked so far back into the stone age, we'd be re-creating religious genesis.
