Why are you amazing, Jason? You lay down the truth everywhere you go, and now I find out you support the true Star Wars.

The Force of Life is with you, always.

LOL.

Star Wars changed my life. Empire was the peak. The rest is meh with pros and cons.

In this making of docu I love that he states that it's fantasy NOT sci-fi.

I'm working on my own "epic" hard-sci-fi story, and hopefully it will impress you much more. I need to finish the first draft to share. If only I could focus.

Star Wars is fantasy, yes. Space opera is fantasy. Empire is also my favorite, but I still love the other movies released by George.

If you ever find the time to focus and finish it, I would gladly read it. I write fairy-tales in my own time, and I am always willing to read the works of others, if they are shared. Creative works should be shared, but even if you don't end up finishing or sharing it, be proud of what you are doing. Few people attempt to create things in life, and even fewer get close to creating something worthwhile. To write even a page worth of worthwhile words would be a great accomplishment, in my eyes. And I'm sure you will do more than just a pages worth :)

Thanks for your encouragement!

I haven't touched it since COVID started and had been distracted this summer, and now I'm trying to start an indoor basement garden.

Here's the project, in development, open for all to see: https://infogalactic.com/info/Bittersweet_Seeds

The story is laid out here: https://infogalactic.com/info/Bittersweet_Seeds:_Story_Summaries:_A_Line_A_Minute but I admit to intentionally keeping it cryptic for anyone who might be curious to prevent spoilers. From here it links to the scenes in development. I haven't even completed Act 1A yet. The biggest trick is to compress and trim and layer ideas while keeping it "natural".

Once the first draft is done it will really come to life because I can draw my ass off and ever so many of the original and practical concepts are visual and/or are far too complex to explain concisely in words. Only then will it actually all make sense to folks, even without the emotional spectacle of sound, grand effects, and movie magic.

Do you share your works?

I share my works with people I know, but only then. I have little desire to publish my main work, and I surely don't like to mention it. It is near to my spirit. I would be quite willing to share some of the more minor works with anybody who asks.

I can imagine that your ideas require much effort, and that you have visuals and such which would greatly enhance the work. I know full well that if I were to view the finished version, it would be full of much, much, more. Nevertheless, I will check out those links when I eat my lunch. I will be breaking my fast with your words as company :)

Seriously, I am incredibly glad to know that Star Wars has a place on Saidit, and that one of my 3 favorite users posts here. This is very uplifting.

If you're intending to publish for profit then I understand. I'm taking a tremendous chance with my open experiment, but I believe in it and would hope that it might inspire more alternative models and solutions to the establishment process. Read /s/GlossedAndProfoud for more.

I've been philosophizing and dreaming about this project since 2001, off and on. I would build up my utopian dreams of how things should be then poke holes in them with dystopian reasons why they won't work, then build utopian work-arounds and break them down, build and break, repeat. In this way there a balance that might pass for practical realism. Today things are better and worse than ever - more extreme. The same goes for my "hard-sci-fi" - based on practicalities first, rather than designing something pretty but impossible/impractical.

Humans thrive on our stories. From religious myths to heroic legends to teaching parables to super heroes. I might have posted more about MSM entertainment before had I known there was interest. Now that there are finally enough topical subs I can pretty much post anything interesting my diverse tastes stumble across, regardless whether anyone discovers them right away or down the road.

Looking at /s/StarWars I'm a little surprised how many I've actually posted. I went there to find these:
